From Chaos to Colour: Why I’m Transitioning to Signature Pink Blue Portraits
For 25 years, I’ve used art to tell my story.
Not in obvious ways.
Not always intentionally.
But consistently.
Art has been my language. My therapy. My rebellion. My survival. My celebration.
Through every season of my life — becoming a mother, navigating growth, healing from the past, evolving as a woman — paint was there. Canvas absorbed what I couldn’t always say out loud.
Some artists paint landscapes.
Some paint trends.
I painted chapters.
My early work was bold, textured, sometimes raw. Palette knife strokes. Emotion layered thick. Colour used as armour and as exposure. It wasn’t about perfection — it was about release.
Over time, something shifted.
The chaos softened.
The edges blended.
The story deepened.
Motherhood changed me. Time changed me. Experience changed me.
I began painting my daughter each year — not just to capture her face, but to honour who she was becoming. Those portraits became a living diary. A visual record of growth, pride, and unconditional love.
That’s when I realised something powerful:
Art isn’t just expression.
It’s preservation.
And slowly, I found my sweet spot.
A contemporary portrait style built on restraint, emotion, and signature colour.
Pink and blue.
Not soft baby pink and pale nursery blue.
But intentional pink. Confident blue.
Contrast. Balance. Masculine and feminine. Strength and tenderness.
These colours tell a different story now.
They hold:
• Healing
• Growth
• Identity
• Legacy
• Presence
After 25 years of using art to process my life, I now use it to elevate the lives of others.
My portraits are no longer just about me.
They are about the people who matter most to you.
Your child before they leave home.
Your wedding day.
Your mother’s strength.
Your partner’s quiet loyalty.
The athlete who inspired you.
The version of yourself that survived something hard.
Every portrait is created in my signature pink and blue palette — bold, contemporary, and emotionally charged.
No options.
No dilution.
Just one recognisable style.
Because I’ve learned that clarity creates power.
And when an artist finally finds their visual language — everything changes.
This next chapter isn’t about experimenting.
It’s about refinement.
It’s about creating one-of-a-kind contemporary portraits that feel timeless and unmistakably mine.
Art healed me for 25 years.
Now it’s about creating work that becomes part of your story too.
