This is my version of The Birth Of Venus. There are iconic works of art that will stand the test of time and this piece has always popped into my life. I have a strong connection to Aphrodite in my life so had to paint my version. This is is thick oils mostly painted with a palette knife.
I painted like this for years. I loved thick oil paint and just applying blobs of paint straight from the tube. But now I own a fabric recycling business so had to use the materials and paints that people donate to me to help save our planet from waste.
