A large-scale figurative work exploring sensuality, myth and ornament.

The reclining figure unfolds within a field of expressive roses and luminous gold, drawing upon the visual language of early modernist symbolism while reinterpreting it through contemporary gesture and layered surface.

Textured roses emerge from the canvas with sculptural presence, while areas of gold introduce warmth and depth, catching light as the viewer moves through the space. The figure curves inward, creating a circular rhythm that holds the composition in a moment of quiet intimacy.

Rather than narrative illustration, the work becomes an atmosphere — where form, colour and texture converge to suggest tenderness, vulnerability and quiet opulence.
