Leah Justyce Art Gallery is expanding β and weβre looking for passionate and supportive artists from across Australia to join us as Art Mentors for NDIS participants.
This is a unique opportunity to turn your creative skills into a rewarding career pathway, while helping emerging artists with disabilities thrive in their own communities.
We are building a national network of Mentors to deliver one-on-one and small-group online art programs designed to support independence, confidence, and creative skill development.

π What Youβll Do
As a Mentor, you will:

Guide participants in creative art activities in your style or speciality
β
Support their personal and creative goals
β
Promote independence, communication, and confidence
β
Create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment
β
Provide simple progress notes after each session
β
Work flexible hours that fit your lifestyle
You do not need therapy qualifications β this is not art therapy. Itβs about strengthening practical art skills, creative expression, and connection.

π° Pay & Hours
β $48 Per Session Per Participant (sessions are 1 hour plus NDIS paperwork)
β Most Mentors work 1β20 hours weekly
β You choose which programs you want to teach
β Work remotely from your own creative space
We handle invoicing, participant onboarding, communication, and scheduling β so you can focus on mentoring.

Skilled in your artform (digital, painting, photography, sculpture, textile, etc.)

Patient, kind, and supportive

Confident communicating online
β
Passionate about helping others grow

β Requirements
Before beginning appointments, Mentors will need:
β’ Working With Children Check (or relevant state equivalent)
β’ NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
β’ ABN (to invoice us for completed sessions)
β’ Reliable internet connection
