The human form is by far my favourite subject to paint. With this series I wanted to concentrate on distorted poses and not care so much about proportions.
I paint these freehand and do not correct the positioning of the lines or faults as such. I just wanted them to be as perfectly imperfect as they were created.
The figurative form captures a dynamic, yet elegant movement, emphasizing the fluidity and grace of the human body.
This artwork embodies an energetic, uplifting spirit that would infuse any space with a sense of vitality and passion.
I wanted to use solid bold colours that sometimes are contrasting. I thought powerful images needed powerful colours.
